my daughter who is eight has recently c/o itchy anus..on two separate occassions..and both times it was after her nightly bath...last night i became more concerned and decicided to look while she was sleeping ..once about an hour afer she fell asleep and then again this morning...did not see anything and even wiped ares to look at in light..nothing ..is there anther reason her anus would get so itchy after her bath..and would sugar ..candy have an effect on her itching
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Worm infestation is common cause for itchy anus in children. Kindly give her Albendazole in the form of Tablet or Syrup 200mg (if she is less than 20 Kgs) or 400mg (if she is more than 20 Kgs) as a single dose, which could be repeated again in about 2 weeks (if necessary).
