Suggest Remedy For Itchy, Red Rashes Near Clexane Injection Site

i am 19 weeks pregnant, with baby number 6 i am 31 and 16st. I am on 40mg clexane injection every day, but have started getting red hot inflammed ichy rashes at and around the injection site, the consultant who i have seen once and not seeing again until January wants me to continue to use it. I have also been prescribed hydrocortizone cream to help with the iching but it is not doing a great deal. Any advice would be great

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
I understand your concern.
The local reaction at injection site you have with itchy, red rashes , are many a times due leakage while injecting. Your doctor has seen it & still wants you to continue the medicine- that it is not very serious.
- Continue with the injections & be in touch with the doctor regularly.
- you can have second opinion of another hematologist-just to cross check & be tension free.
- Platelet counts need to be checked as per doctor's advice,
- Any incidence of breathlessness/ bleeding to be reported immediately.
Thanks.
