General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to allergic reaction to drug bactrim(cotrimaxazole & trimethoprim). If you send a picture then it will be more helpful in identifying. If benadryl is not helping then more potent antihistamines like cetirizine and short course corticosteroids like methylprednisolone will be needed. Calamine lotion for local application will be helpful also. Avoid this drug in future also.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
