Hi,

The location and movement of a pain gives clues as to what is going on. But one can have multiple causes producing multiple pains. Neck orthopedic issues often radiate to the back of the head and down the shoulders. Amitryptiline IS actually the most common medicine to cause nightmares in my experience. There are alternatives but they usually are not quite as good. A minor shift to NORTRYPTILINE is one option.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
