Suggest Remedy For Knee Problem

I recently went to an ortho doctor and he stated that I was knock kneed. I am sitting in horror to find out what my options are going to be to fix this problem. I have had pain for 7 years in my right knee and hip, along with popping and sharp pain around the knee cap. This pain has only increased over time since I got struck by IED in Iraq. At which point my knees were slammed into a metal radio. I am wondering what the doctor may suggest...
