Suggest Remedy For Light Periods

Hi,I had intercourse with my partner about 18 days back. She did take ipill within 24 hours. She is having period but amount of bleeding is very less than usual. I want to know if she is pregnant/ we should go for pregnancy test and why is she having abnormal period. Also I would like to know how to reduce the side effects of ipill.
