Suggest Remedy For Loose Motions With Fever Post Pregnancy

Hello doctor,I am Vani from Hyderabad. I have given birth to a baby girl on 7th of this month through C section.Yesterday, I was discharged from the hospital since I and baby were doing fine. Today, I am feeling cold fever with a temperature of 101.3 degree F. I am also suffering from loose motions which when complained to my doctor (before getting discharged), said that it is okay but it didn't go even today.
My baby is having mild jaundice and I am unable to understand if I can take paracetamol or crocin tablet. My stitches are paining slightly from inside (Outer stitches have been healed properly). Also, I am taking roti, bread, coffee and milk as my main diet with vegetables like tomato and leafy ones.
I am disturbed internally and feel like crying. Is it a reason for my fever?
Awaiting your answer, as travel to the hospital will take nearly an hour and half for me.
Thanks and Regards,
Vani.

hello Vani and welcome.

It takes some time for the woman's bodily functions to return to normal, and so I would not worry too much about this. Your diet seems to be good and healthy, but may be for a while if you could stick to a liquid or semi solid diet, it may help in relieving you from your loose stools.

The temperature and flu-like feeling you are getting may subside in a day or two, but if they do not then try to call your doctor as I am sure all of them will be reachable. No need to take any medications at this point, as your child has jaundice and it would be best not to pass on any medications into his system through your breast milk.

As for the disturbed feeling you have, these are just baby blues and usually do not last more than 2 weeks. If at all you continue to have these sad or disturbed feelings, then you should have to consider making that one and a half hour drive to your doctor.

Best wishes Vani.
