Suggest Remedy For Loss Of Hearing And Pressure Between The Eyes Due To Sinusitis

I have challenges with my sinuses. I usually get a sinus infection 2x a year, last year was actually pretty good, I only had one infection. Recently I'm challenged with sinus congestion/pressure that is resting in my ears and across the bridge of my nose. It was only in my left ear, and now it's in both. I have buffered hearing but that's the only real annoyance. I don't have a stuffy nose, no headaches, no ear ache, no cough, no sneezing...just the sinus pressure in the ears and across the nose. I've been taking Claritin D, but that's not been too effective. The steaming sessions 3 times a day have given the most relief. Is there anything else I can do?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that there is fluid accumulation behind the eardrum along with clogged Eustachian tube and it is leading to muffled hearing and pressure in ears and pressure around the nose is also due to inflammation in the lining of the sinuses..
It is due to infected sinuses only..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated as taking Claritin D alone is not sufficient..
You can be advised investigations like PNS view x ray or MRI scan can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

You can be advised a course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, decongestants like Pseudoephadrine, do saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
You can also be advised decongestant nasal sprays containing Xylometazoline or Oxymetazoline..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Do warm compresses around nostrils..
