Suggest Remedy For Lump In My Sternal Notch Area

I have had a sensation of something being lodged in my sternal notch area since April I have had thousands of dollars worth of tests done only to be told they have found nothing..I have had 2 x-rays of my neck ((not sure if they seen the sternal notch area on those or not)) 2 chest x-rays, a Nasal Endoscopy, an Upper Endoscopy, an ultrasound of thyroid and several rounds of blood work and they still are saying nothing...My question to you is this: Why can I feel a lump in my sternal notch area and the Doctors cannot find it? DO I need a CT scan of my sternal notch area? My husband has also felt this lump, it is annoying sometimes because it feels as if something is always caught in my throat and sometimes if feels like food and liquid gets stuck...I just do not wanna have had cancer all this time and it not have been caught...That would devastate me...Thank you so much in advance..

Yes, if I were your doctor, after all the tests done as noted above, and because of your persisting symptoms, I would go for a CT scan of your neck area to rule out any such pathology, which could not be detected by a physical examination and all other investigations. Further management would depend on the CT scan findings. Till then, I might consider you for a course of proton pump inhibitor drug.
