You definitely wouldn't get well if the the right drug is not prescribed and at the right dosage. Malaria disease manifest with non specific symptoms such as headaches, fever, vomiting, convulsions, joint pains etc. Diagnosis is usually confirmed with laboratory tests. Antigen testing for malaria is the new approach for rapid diagnostic testing for malaria. It is rapid and highly sensitive. The fact that, your own test came out negative implies it is far less possible to be malaria.
Cefixime is a broad spectrum antibiotic effective for gram negative bacteria. Its arbitrary prescription as such won't do any good. A good diagnosis has to be made and antibiotic sensitivity of the pathogen isolated made.
You could meet an infectiologist for a proper diagnosis and appropriate drugs.
