Suggest Remedy For Mild Chest Pain

hi there, just concerned...I am a 46 yr old female. Not overweight, average size...been having minor chest pains for the last 4 hours. Its not heartburn...but it feels painful off and on around my heart. My heart rate is normal...my heartbeat is not racing, I have no symptoms, like dizziness or sweating...should I be checking into emerg or doctor?

Hi thanks for asking question.
You have chest pain only since 4 hour.
Here are the possibilities.
First possibility of simple muscular pain is more as no other symptoms present,it may result from excess weight bearing or improper sleep posture.
Simple analgesic is taken.
Second if associated headache, sore throat or runny nose present then chances of viral infection is there.Symptomatic management done for it.
Third if sweating along with increasing constricting chest pain then ECG is done.
If cough and breathlessness is present then chest x ray done.
Just now take it as simple muscular pain and take analgesic for that.
If no relief then further work up done.
I hope my suggestion will help you.
