Suggest Remedy For Nausea And Excessive Gas Post Medication For Throat Infection

Hi Doctor, I am having throat infection and slight fever. Having thick Mucus also. So I have visited doctor yesterday. He has prescribed mucinac 600 and Mox CV 625. But today after having these medicines, I feel very much vomiting sensation and gas trouble. So what remediation can be done for this?

Can understand your concern..

Gas trouble and vomiting after taking the above medication is due to
Mox CV 625 which is an antibiotic and it is due to side effect of this antibiotic as the antibiotics disturbs the complex functioning of intestines as they disrupt the normal bacterial flora of intestines along with the harmful bacteria..

You need not to worry and can take Pantoprazole 40 mg empty stomach in the morning to prevent the symptoms.
For relief from vomiting antiemetics like Avomin can be taken..
Take more of probiotics like Yoghurt as it helps in retaining good bacteria of the intestines..

In case if the condition does not improve you should consult your dentist and get your medicine changed..
