Suggest Remedy For Numb Knee With Bruise After A Fall

i fell on the ice last night and hit my knee. When it happened just below my knee was completely numb. It is still numb, but not as bad. Now I notice a bruise appearing, I do not believe I broke anything {due to the fact I would be in alot of pain]. Is the numbness normal? Thanks
