Suggest Remedy For Numbness In Ear And Side Of Face

What do you think might be happening when you woke up about 3:00 in the morning and your right ear and the surrounding area, into the side of the face and neck have gone completely numb? This happened to my friend. She s 51 years old and I m very concerned for her. Thank you, Marsha YYYY@YYYY NEVER MIND-DIDN T KNOW YOU CHARGED!!

Hello,
Welcome to the HCM.
Dear according to her age ,she must rule out any hypertention,diabetes or blood vessel problem.As any of above factor could trigger these symptoms by affecting brain parts supplying this area of face.
I would suggest that get her checked by a nearby physician and get some routine tests done for example.Blood sugar level,ECG and She may need carotid doppler and MRI brain to rule out any stroke ,but after discussing with her treating doctor.
