Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Lately, my fingers and toes have become continually numb. Additionally, my calves swell around the top of my socks. I m 50, work on my feet all day (sometimes 12-15 hrs), drink alcohol, use smokeless tobacco. I take Amlodapine (spelling?) for high blood pressure. Need more specific information?
Alcohol and tabacco may be the main cause of the numbness you may be having. I don't think Amlodipine is the cause of it. You need to stop having alcohol or tobacco.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
