Suggest Remedy For On And Off Periods

i am 56 i thought i was thru menopause i didnt have a period for a year then last month on june 11th bamm! i have been having a period on and off since then some times very hard other times just normal only stopping for a day or 2 at a time. I have not called my doctor yet. I do have a pullop on my cervics that is scheduled to be removed in august could this have anything to do with that??

Thanks for writing to us. I have gone through the query and understood your concern. It is possible that your cervical polyp is the cause of the irregular bleeding. However, as you are postmenopausal, a complete evaluation is mandatory. This includes a proper clinical exam, a pap smear, sonogram of the pelvis preferably in the trans-vaginal route, endometrial biopsy and if needed, a biopsy of the cervix. Further management can be planned accordingly. Hope this helps.
