Suggest Remedy For Pain After Partial Meniscus Disc Repair Surgery

Hello, I ve had surgery to do a partial meniscus disc repair. And I had some arthritis also they said. I speed skate, workout weights one to two times a week. Also, I m a 61 year old Multi-craft Lead Technician and have to walk or stand some days & nights for hours. Anyway, I had the surgery about 6 months ago with great result until yesterday. I was just walking normal when a of the sudden I had a bad pain that made me start limping. When I first got up this morning it hurt to stand and walk, but as I kept walking thru the day the pain got a better. I will see my doctor next week. My question is, can I get something in the drug store right now that will help with the pain till my appointment? Thanks
