Suggest Remedy For Pain And Bad Odor In The Area Of New Molar Eruptions

Hi,
I have a question. My molars are beginning to grow in the back of my mouth and its painful. The back of my tooth near where the new tooth is growing has a foul odor. I know i need to get my molars removed but until then is there anyway to eliminate the smell?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your complain the foul smell from your tooth seems to be due to deep infection in tooth and until you will get the tooth treated the foul smell cannot be eliminated, so the first thing that you can do is to consult a dentist and get the x ray of the tooth done so that he can evaluate the condition of the tooth and can advise you for the correct treatment.
If tooth can be saved Root canal treatment followed by antibiotics and painkillers will help..
If there is extensive decay extraction of the tooth has to be done..

As of now you can start taking antibiotics like amoxicillin and painkillers like Ibuprofen and do gargles with a flavoured antimicrobial mouthwash for some improvement in the foul smell..

The pain at the site of erupting tooth that seems to me to be wisdom tooth can be due to Pericoronitis that is inflammation of gum flap that covers wisdom tooth..
Antibiotics and painkillers will relieve it too and along with it do warm saline gargles..
In case if it will not be relieved surgical removal of gum flap or extraction of wisdom tooth can be done as per the diagnosis made by your dentist..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
