Suggest Remedy For Pain And Lump Like Feeling In Throat

I have been suffering from what I believe is allergies for th past 2-3 weeks I am now taking Claritin and Flonase Rx. Today I noticed it to be very painful to swallow and a constant feeling of a lump in my throat right about where my collar bone meets. I can t feel a lump while palpating it but I feel it when I breath, swallow even just spit, food, and drink. Help!

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain and lump like feeling in throat is due to tonsillar enlargement, peritonsillar abscess or pharyngitis. Need not to worry about it. Visit ENT specialist once and get complete examination done. Go for blood tests along with that get chest x-ray done. You should go for fin needle aspiration cytology of lump inside throat and start traetment as per that. If it is due to acid reflux then you should take small and frequent meals and you should exercise daily.. I would suggest you to take proper antibiotic course such as Levofloxacin for 5-7 days. Take anti-inflammatory drugs such as Sinarest as well. Take few preventive measures such as do warm saline gargles on daily basis 3- 4 times a day
