Suggest Remedy For Pain And Pressure On Hip After Injury
Yesterday I was playing netball and one of the girls tripped me. I fell on the concrete and hit my hip and ever since I can t touch it or put a lot of pressure on it. I have tried pain relief and it doesn t work. I have also tried ice nothing works and the pain is so constant and annoying. Please what could it be.
You have history of injury hips due to fall, now you are experiencing pain and discomfort. To stay comfortable, take rest. Avoid any activity that puts weight on the hip. Compression bandage may help. Take NSAIDS, Combiflam or Naproxen for relief from pain and swelling, one SOS orally after food.
Pain relieving sprays (Volini) or gentle application of pain relieving ointment may be effective. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get X-ray, MRI / CT done to rule out any fracture, dislocation, ligament or tendon strain. You will be treated accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
