My partner (F, 58) began experiencing pain in the ball of her foot between the second and third toe bones, esp on walking, as if she had a lump there (although no lump can be felt by palpating). Over time the two toes have become splayed, and she is unable to press them together. The pain is still present, and the splaying is now also affecting her walking.
