Suggest Remedy For Pain And Swelling In Hip Joint While Urinating Standing Up

I had an mri done last year and the disk wasn't great but didn't need surgery, it hurts when I pee standing up, When sitting down it doesn't hurt. It hurts in the hip joint area. The side of my hip is also swollen. I have a nuero appt on thursday, but I'm afraid she will want to do surgery when it could be something different than a disk issue.
