Suggest Remedy For Pain And Swelling In Wrist

My hubby broke his wrist two years ago. No surgery, no complications, wore a cast for a few weeks. He aggrivated the wrist last year playing tug with our boxer dog, but nothing needing treatment. Hes now complaining of toothache like pain and swelling. Is this something he should have checked out?
