Suggest Remedy For Pain In Arm Caused By A Bruise

My son has pain in his upper arm (on the interior of the arm) and a long yellowish bruise. He has had this for a few days, and now he has redness on the inside of his elbow. It hurts to move the arm upwards and he does heavy lifting at work, so could this be a ruptured tendon and if so, what is the best treatment since it obviously happened a few days ago now?

Hello
Thank you for contacting us.
From your description it seems your son has an internal muscular injury. Does he remember the cause of the injury and if there was any direct impact on the site where the bruise is?
Since bleeding and swelling at the area could cause the redness which would turn yellow over time.
The priority should be to get the internal injury checked and treated first. bruises on the skin n deeper tissue will heal. Check for any external injury or sever pain and swelling over a localized specific area.
do visit an orthopaedician/neuro.
