Suggest Remedy For Pain In Back After Skiing Injury

Today I was skiing and hit a jump I wasn t expecting. I didn t keep my weight forward and landed on my back. I was able to ski for the rest of the day but for a bit felt some tingling in my left leg (though that boot s buckles popped out). My back is now sore and I just want to make sure nothing serious happened. Is there a way to tell if the injury is not too serious I m just a little sore in my back now.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Trauma to back followed by tingling sensation on your left leg suggests nerve injury.
An MRI of the back is required to assess the soft tissues and associated injuries.
Back injuries can be serious if associated with nerve injuries and these injuries may present later.
Thus, consult your orthopedician for clinical assessment and thus management.
In the meanwhile you can take muscle relaxants to relieve the pain and soreness in the back.

Thanks and take care
