Addiction Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Cannot say in your particular case, without directly examining but these symptoms can easily come from an infection that is deep inside the buttocks.

This is a very bad place to get an infection and is difficult to get the germs out. Certainly, it is a reason to have the area looked at soon and to see if there is something that could be operated upon to remove an infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Matt Wachsman, Addiction Medicine Specialist
