Suggest Remedy For Pain In Forearm Muscles After Vigorous Exercise

I am 56 and when lifting weights, my elbow area used to hurt on one arm but I have been doing more push ups and lifting weights to 50 lbs and my forearm muscles hurt every time I do it and are not healing, to now it hurts when I lift an empty box with my arm extended and I am finding a reduced strength in both arms, have always been in pretty good shape and exercised regularly but in the last few months more pain and never really goes away

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Weight lifting should be accompanied by high protein diet to allow the muscles to recover.
Muscle fibers are injured or damaged while performing strenuous activity.
Proteins help the muscles to regenerate and recover from the injury.
If proteins are low in diet, injury can increase and cause more damage.
This is the most probable reason for pain while lifting empty boxes.
The pain can also be due to involvement of musculoskeletal system.

Thanks and take care
