Suggest Remedy For Pain In Head And Pressure On Eye

I am having slight pains in my head like small lighting bolts. I sometimes have these around my eye area, almost like something is pulling or pressing on my eye. I have had this for the last two weeks. Not all the time but esp if I bend over to pick up something off the floor.

Hello there,

Based on your symptoms I am concerned. You need to visit an ophthalmologist soon. What your are describing is consistent with raised pressure within the eye. This leads to pain, difficulty with vision, congestive headaches. The doctor will measure your intra ocular pressure with a device called a tonometer. Also if your eye is in the right condition an ophthalmoscopy may be done to evaluate the retina(The back of your eyeball) also.
