hi, im a 41 yrs. old male. i twisted/rolled my ankle playing soccer this weekend. i wanna say the pain feels like its in the upper front area of my left ankle. At first it hurt really bad and i wanna say i heard something rip... after walking it off, it still hurt but walkable. i went home, iced it, rapped and after some elevation, theres no swelling or bruises but I m still feeling pain when i walk... its more when i PUSH OFF with left foot.
hello, i can understand your concern. twisted ankle or sprain of the ankle usually takes two weeks to heal. its a good sign that the movements are not restricted. this rules out any fractures. the most important part now would be to immobilize the joint or restrict the movements as much as possible to let the injury heal . application of a crepe bandage over the area would be useful. an anti inflammatory drug like aceclofenac for five days would reduce the pain and inflammation in the joint. local application of a diclofenac gel would also help. hot fomentation would also help. in case the pain still persists get an xray of the ankle joint and consult an orthopedecian. hope i have answered your concerns. feel free to ask further queries. wish you a speedy recovery. thanks for choosing HCM
