General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It can be due to anaphylactic reaction after the insect bite and may need injectable steroids and anti histamines. Rarely if any signs of anaphylactic shock are experienced, adrenaline shot may be needed but throat inflammation or angioedema should be ruled out after a medical facility ER visit.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
