ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I had gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

One side tonsilar enlargement with pus pointing could be a peritonsilar abscess.

I recommend the following.

1) A course of antibiotics.
2) Analgesic like tablet paracetamol for pain relief.
3) Yes, Salt water gargling do help to relieve pain for sometime. But when the abscess has formed already, apart from home remedies you might also need antibiotics.
4) If the symptoms persist you might also require the drainage of pus. Consult an ENT doctor for the same.

You will be fine.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any questions, I am happy to help.

Wish you a good health and speedy recovery.

Regards,
