General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
Based on your description, you may have sustained a soft tissue injury such as a sprain or strain in your foot. These types of injuries can cause pain, burning, and numbness, especially if the nerves in the foot have been affected. It's important to rest your foot and avoid putting weight on it as much as possible to allow it to heal. You can also try icing the affected area for 15-20 minutes at a time, several times a day to reduce inflammation and pain.
If the pain and numbness persist or worsen, it's recommended that you seek medical attention from a healthcare professional. They may refer you to a specialist such as a podiatrist or physical therapist for further evaluation and treatment. In some cases, they may prescribe pain medication or recommend wearing a brace or orthotic to support your foot and relieve the symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
