Suggest Remedy For Painful Inflamed Wound By Wasp Stung

I have a couple, thanks for hearing then. 2 weeks ago, I stepped on a rusty nail through my flip flops. It bled pretty good. I immediately washed it. Was a little sore, but no real problems. In the meantime I got stung by a wasp twice on my knee. It was pretty sore for a day or so. Now my knee is really swollen, sore and inflamed about 5 inches down and 5 inches up from my knee, especially painful if I put pressure on it like bending down on it or walking up/down stairs. It feels sore deep inside, like thick, hardness inside.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the symptoms of soreness, hardness and swelling after wasp sting seems to be due to allergic reaction to the poisonous chemical that is injected under the skin by the wasp sting..
Nothing to worry, the first thing that you should do is to have a close look over the sting site and if the bee stinger is present embedded in the skin you should remove it or if not able to remove get it removed by a physician..
Take anti-allergic medication like Levocetrizine or fexofenadine [allegra].
Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Apply a steroid ointment over the swollen region..
Do cool compresses..
Elevate your feet while lying down..
Do not scratch if there is itching to prevent infection..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
