Suggest Remedy For Painful Knee

hi i hurt my knee playing football yesterday when i twisted i heard a popping noise but i can still walk and can bend the knee to a point without severe pain,there is no swelling and it is not sore to touch but is aching today and feels unstable.any help would be appreciated as the popping sound has scared me slightly.regards mark
