Suggest Remedy For Painful Muscular Spasm From Foot To Cheey

My name is Betty. I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet and calves. On June 20th 2015, I had about 3 cramp-seizures within 6 hours that lasted a split second. They traveled from my left foot (which is swollen) across my body and out thru my right facial cheek. There is no pain. I m usually in bed and changing sleeping positions when it happens. It has been happening almost every day now. I also have an irregular heartbeat which I ve been prescribed to take Metoprolol, Should I see my regular M.D. or a Neurologist or who? Hope you can help me.

Hi.

Noted your history of a known peripheral neuropathy, irregular heartbeat for which Metoprolol has been prescribed, getting spasms from left foot to right side of face, wants to know which Doctor to go for.
Surely a Neurologist should be consulted.
THe cause can be related to the nervous system.
Yet there can be other causes that need to be watched for like anxiety, stress.
Electrolyte imbalance including that of ccalcium.
Get a proper clinical evalaution, investigations to get a proper cause and thus get proper management as per the cause found.
