Suggest Remedy For Painful Wisdom Tooth

had a filling in my back left bottom wisdom tooth, it throbs and gets irratated when im guessing my blood pressure goes up, example after drinking or if i have cold, or have caffeine, when irratated it seems higher, then effects my bite, making it more painful, its seems to be wobbling very slightley, x-ray 6 month ago said it was okay, any advise

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern.

Thanks for your query . The pain which you mention in query is actually sensitivity to temperature . Sometimes dentist do not give liner before filling a cavity . Because they don' feel that liner is necessary. The it is necessary when infection in too close to pulp.

Infection could be another reasons for pain which remains after cleaning the cavity . This infection spread underneath the filling and cause problem

I would suggest you to visit dentist again.Doctor may order X-ray and will do physical examination of the tooth .

He/she may consider refilling with lines in place or prescribe antibiotics course, if the infection is more then he may extract the tooth .

Generally its not recommended to do filling or root canal of wisdom tooth , if they become problematic get them extracted .

Until then avoid food with extreme temperatureand do warm saline gargles 3-4 times a day.
