Suggest Remedy For Persistent Cough With High Crp

Hi,

I have had high temperature about 4 weeks ago followed by a cough. I used antibiotics, it went for about a week and since two weeks, I have had really persistent cough. My doctor did some blood test, and my CRP was 2.5 when it should be 0.5 at most. They also did a prick test and lung function test, and I was prescribed with a foster and a nasal spray. I am really worried that my cough is not going away.,

Hello,

As you already consult with the doctor, still you have a persistent cough, do sputum routine and culture examination. You can take tablet Amox clav, syrup. Cadex, tablet Okacet cold. Do steam inhalation and Betadine gargle twice a day. Do chest x-ray. I will suggest you review here with detailed history or consult with chest physician with reports.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale
