Suggest Remedy For Persistent High Blood Pressure

I have suddenly been encountering blood pressure readings in the 195 -201 range. My dr prescribed a diuretic that did not work. I am on the highest dose of Losartan. It there nothing more that can be prescribed to lower my blood pressure? The doctor seems unconcerned.

Hi. Blood pressure that high is a cause for concern due to the effects it can have if untreated. If it remains high treatment should be added like a ACE inhibitor and blood pressure should be monitored regularly. It is not uncommon for people to take up to 3 medications before the BPis controlled
