Suggest Remedy For Persistent Low Grade Fever And Ear Ache Post Treatment For Strep
I was at the hospital 2 days ago and have strep throat. I have been taking my antibiotics since and feel a little better but I have bad pains in my ears and still getting warm and sweating fever like. Just wondering should I go back. Also my throat is still soar and it still have red dots all over on top.
Hello and thank you for your question. It can take longer than two days for the antibiotics to work. If you feel that you are getting worse instead of better, if you have high fevers or if you have a severe headache then you should see a doctor again. if you feel that you are getting somewhat better then continue the antibiotics, drink plenty of water and give it a few more days. It may take 7-10 days for you to feel completely better Regards, Dr. Robinson
