General & Family Physician 's  Response
Welcome to HCM, I have gone through you query and understood your concerns, I advice you to keep hydrated your lips All the time Its really important to choose the right lip- balm ( choose one high emollients ) check the list for Petrolatum, which locks in moisture, and dimethicone, which seals off crack and splits in drying lips, apply early and often, to make this easier stash a tube in your purse, car, desk and near the bed, drinking enough fluids, use a humidifier indoors, don't lick your lips, don't peel or bite flaky skin, don't exfoliate, vitamins supplement (A-E ) works great restoring the mucosa, avoid excessive sun exposure, stress, alcohol and irritating foods.
Please kindly rate if my advise has been helpful
Wishing you a good health
