I ve been experiencing shortness of breath for weeks now. It s getting worse and there s a bad dry cough with it now that sometimes is severe. I ve seen my regular dr but there s no sign of heart or lung issues. Could this be some type of asthma? I m 42 . . .
Hi thanks for using Healthcaremagic If you have shown to your doctor and ruled cardiac and lung problem then we will have to look for other causes
The most common cause is reactive airway means the airway will be hyperstulant and will be irritant. It can cause dry cough.. Anti-allergic and sometimes inhalers can help..
Then you will have to look for any local problem in the throat...An ENT consultation will help
If there is any sinus pathology you can have post-nasal drip which can cause irritant cough mostly in the night
you have to rule out all these problems thank you....
