keratosis pilaris causes small, hard bumps that may make your skin feel like sandpaper. It most commonly affects the buttocks thighs and outer arms and the underlying skin becomes dark...Avoid dryness of skin.Use alpha-hydroxy acid, lactic acid, salicyclic acid, or urea containing creams over the affected area as they exfoliate the skin and gives a supple feel...topical retinoids can be tried so as laser...thanks
