Hi. 64 yr. old male in last 3 months infected tooth, Amoxicillin administered, tooth extracted, pounding head when coughing, laughing, sneezing developed and continued, annual checkup 8 months ago triglycerides at 370, non smoker, no diabetic diagnosis, recent annual checkup developed inner ear diagnosed as vertigo but could be sinus, A1c at 11% Prednisone administered. 60mg/to 0 in 6 days. Lantus 20 units prescribed and sliding scale. BS 110 at wakeup and at 190 after breakfast of 1/2 ww role for 8 hours with no lunch. Head feels as though in a drum and reverberating when BS up. Is it possible the infection is driving the blood sugar and triglycerides are distorting A1c. 25 yr runner stopped 6 yrs ago. Bld pressure 125/70 with 10mg hydrochlorothiazide and 10mg Lisinopril daily. No Atherosclerosis buildup per EBCT to be seen at WWW.WWWW.WW and one Widow maker stint. Eating no Carbs, veges only with small quanity white meats. Probably 500 calories/day. Head is beginning to buzz again after vertigo and bs resulted in VA. hospital for two days last week to level bs and allergy medication, nose spray, dizzy pills, and ear drops with Prednisone. No history of family diabetics. Weight 190 5'9.5"
