hi my name is sheila i am 28 yrs old and i am 7 months pregnant. i was diagnosed with UTI and i was given an advice to take some antibiotics coz my pus cells is aroung 40-50 with regards to this is this serious complications in connection to my baby...the only feeling i felt its just that i always get urinated. and when the baby moves inside in my womb i feel somethin pain.
An infection of your urine can only harm you or your baby if you don't take your antibiotics. Bladder infections, if they are not treated, can spread to the kidneys and even into your blood, and that can make it necessary to keep you in the hospital for treatment. You should finish all your medication and when you see your prenatal care provider again, they should test your urine to make sure the infection is gone. But for now, the infection in your bladder, as long as you take your medicine and it goes away, will not harm you or the baby.
I hope this was helpful and answered your question. Take care, and best of luck with your pregnancy.
