General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my surgical experience, a long standing issue with mucus in stools indicates most likely malabsorption disorder with or without inflammatory bowel disease. As there is mention that your lab data with ultrasound is normal, but the main concern is that of endoscopy and colonoscopy findings with biopsy of small intestine.

If it is available with you, kindly share report with me and if not kindly discuss the need of the same with your treating Gastroenterologist.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
