Suggest Remedy For Pus Filled Blood Blister On Middle Finger

I had a small white bump that felt like a sliver on right middle finger...squeezed it thinking it may release whatever was in it...turned into a blood blister then got pus inside...looks very infected...do you think there s something inside that needs to come out?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It may be a small abscess which is a localized infection of pus. This is treated by drainage of the infected discharge along with antibiotics.

Your doctor may need to take a look to see if there is a small amount of infected area still present that may need to be removed.
If it remains then the area would not respond to the antibiotics or the infection would recur.

I hope this helps
