Suggest Remedy For Rash Breakout Post Increase Of Vyvanse Dosage

They increased my dosage of vyvanse and I m looking into the possibility that that is the root cause of m absolutely ridiculous breakout. I m debating whether to request to lower the dose to see if that helps, or switch to aderoll but then again, they are both stimulants. Is there any good way to counteract this because it is a good working medication.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The rash can be related to the increase of Vyvanse dosage. I suggest using a steroid cream for local application. I also suggest using an antihistamine to relieve the rash. I recommend to consult your doctor about this side effect of the treatment.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
