Suggest Remedy For Rashes On Anus

I am 37 years old 5'11" and weigh about 180lbs. I have been doing construction on a new house and have been sweating. I started getting a rash on my anus that has not gone away. I tried using powders and a&d ointment nothing is working. It feels as if it's going away and then comes back. Any suggestions on what to use?

Hello,

You are having rashes on the anus. You are working at a construction site and the rashes occur recurrently. Your rashes are suggestive of heat rash, take care of your hygiene, avoid wearing undies on which you have sweated. Take regular bath, clean the affected area with antibacterial soap.

You suggested to apply Hydrocortisone ointment to prevent itching. In case of fungal infection, applying Clotrimazole ointment works well. Fungal infection occurs in warm, moist area. Keep your private area dry and clean. Wear loose fitting cotton clothes. You can take a course of oral anti fungal for relieve.

Do not share your clothes, towels and toiletries with anyone. Taking antihistamine, at bed time will help relieve symptoms. If symptoms persist, get clinically examined by a urologist, get STD tests done to rule out shingles, herpes, etc. You will be accordingly treated with antivirals / antibiotics. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
