Dear concerned mummy,
Your baby is more than likely not ready to digest wheat based cereals. Here is one possible suggestion:http://www.vitacost.com/Images/Products/500/Gerber/Gerber-Rice-Cereal-DHA-And-Probiotic-015000070052.jpg

Essentially, I am looking for a rice based formula with no wheat or milk products. The nutrients should not combine zinc and iron in the same formula, but it may be hard to get away from that. Zinc and iron bind each other up with little absorption resulting. I would rather just give the rice formula and ask the pediatrician for a multi recommendation to be given at a different time than the cereal. When you introduce meat, introduce a lamb product first a they are least allergenic. Since your baby you mentioned was preterm you may need to give his digestive track longer to develop If you feed foods before he is ready, he may develop true allergies.
