Suggest Remedy For Rashes On Body Of An Infant Post Intake Of Readymade Cereal
Dear Doc My baby is a pre-term baby he is 6 months now, but 4 months corrected age. I fed him with cerelac cereal and he has got rash on face, back and tummy. at what age am i supposed to feed him with solids. Do i continue with this Cerelac or should i stop. thank you and regards, Mummy
Dear concerned mummy, Your baby is more than likely not ready to digest wheat based cereals. Here is one possible suggestion:http://www.vitacost.com/Images/Products/500/Gerber/Gerber-Rice-Cereal-DHA-And-Probiotic-015000070052.jpg
Essentially, I am looking for a rice based formula with no wheat or milk products. The nutrients should not combine zinc and iron in the same formula, but it may be hard to get away from that. Zinc and iron bind each other up with little absorption resulting. I would rather just give the rice formula and ask the pediatrician for a multi recommendation to be given at a different time than the cereal. When you introduce meat, introduce a lamb product first a they are least allergenic. Since your baby you mentioned was preterm you may need to give his digestive track longer to develop If you feed foods before he is ready, he may develop true allergies.
