Hi

I have gone through your query.

It sounds like you have a peptic ulcer disease or a gastric ulcer. This can cause heartburn or epigastric chest pain. This can cause a burning sensation. Along with this, one would also feel some burping or a vomiting like sensation. This can cause breathing issues, chest pain, feeling out of breath and rarely some cough.

Usually, the symptoms you have mentioned can be investigated further by doing esophagometry. This will confirm if there is any lesion or any reason for retching or cough.

Nuvaring use usually does not cause this. Please see a doctor to consider a esophagoscopy or esophagometry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Vignan Rachabattuni
